Our Chocolate Policy
Beginning in January 2010, we will no longer stock boxed chocolates. Over the last 9 years, we have found it impossible to have chocolates shipped into Florida, and to store them without damage, due to the high temps and the humidity in Florida. While they may arrive in good condition, they generally degrade too quickly, making them cost prohibitive, for us, and the consumer.
We have decided that the only way for us, and you, to be assured of getting fresh chocolates, and chocolates that are not 'bloomed', is to buy them fresh, when you order. This option only allows us to purchase chocolates for your gift locally, and include them in your gifts. But we feel it's better to be sure of the quality instead of trying to guess the condition of the chocolates inside the sealed box.
We will be offering more choices in the coming months, and a wide range of price points, for you to choose from. Hoffman's Chocolates, Godiva, Ghiradelli, as well as many main stream chocolates, such as Russell Stover, and Whitmans, if you so choose. For Kosher Chocolates, we recommend the Godiva, and Ghirardelli chocolates.
We will continue to substitute any item we feel will not arrive in excellent condition during the warmer months, with another item of equal value.
While other gift basket companies may still offer chocolates, the only way you can be sure they are fresh is to have them purchased for your gift basket, from local sources.
It is our goal to make every item in the basket fresh. Revising our chocolate policy is just part of that goal. We want everyone to love the basket you send, a basket that also has our name, and reputation on it!
We know you only want the best, and so do we!
